Many people may not realize that the United States has an enormous amount of canines that are put to sleep each year because they can not find a home willing to love and support them. The CRKA supports responsible breeding, which means that the breeder of the puppy is willing to take responsibility for that puppy for the entire life of the puppy if for some reason the owner of the puppy is unable or no longer willing to care for the animal. Unfortunately their are many breeders in this country that do not fullfill this important obligation. Luckily there are many organizations that have been created that try to fill this void left by breeders that do not fullfill this responsibility.
